Old Woman Or Princess

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing him how POOR PEOPLE LIVE. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from the trip this conversation ensued:
Dad: ‘How was the trip?’
Son: ‘It was great dad’
Dad: ‘did you see how poor people live
Son: ‘Oh yeah’
Dad: ‘So tell me what did you learn from the trip’
Son: ‘I saw that we have 1 dog and they had 4. I saw that we have a pool up to the middle of the garden, they had a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our gardens, they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches the front yard, they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on, they have fields that go beyond our sights. We have servants who serve us, they serve others. We buy our food, they grow theirs. We have walls to protect us and our properties, they have friends.
His dad was speechless
Then he added: ‘Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are

I was going through my facebook notes and then I saw this note. This test came to my mind: ‘put water in a glass cup halfway. do you see it as half empty or half full’. The people that see it as half empty are supposed to be pessimists and those that see it as half full are supposed to be optimist. Then there is the old woman or princess one.
Everybody sees things differently. A did something to B and B was pissed of. A did the same thing to C and C wasn’t even bothered about it. Everybody reacts differently. Try to understand other people. Everybody has their opinions. We should try to listen to other opinions and not just be like: ‘fuck your opinion’. You can’t just be fucking everybody’s opinion. You have to listen. Try to reason with people. It makes you a better person.

Have a lovely day 🙂
